How to use Private Browsing (Incognito Mode) – Android Chrome

This article explains how you can turn on an option that allows you to browse privately on your Android device, when using the Chrome browser. By using Incognito Mode, you can rest assure that Chrome will not save any browsing history or web cache. This is especially useful if you use devices that are shared with other people. For example, a tablet that the whole family uses.

It’s easy to turn on and off the Incognito Mode on Chrome for Android. Just a few clicks, like in the pictures bellow:

1. Open the Chrome app on your Android device.

4. You are done. Now you can start browsing whatever you want with no worries.

After you are done, you might want to close the Incognito mode on your device. To do so, you just need to follow the easy steps bellow:

1. Tap the Switch tabs button.

Note: The private browsing feature for Chrome doesn’t mean that you are anonymous on the web. It just means that other people who will use the same device won’t see what you searched and read/watched online. If you want to have full privacy and control over your identity and data, you will need to consider paying for a good VPN.
