How to view & delete your Safari history on iPad

If you are using iOS Safari web browser on your iPad, you can view your Safari browsing history. You can also delete all or some of your history. This article explains how you can view and delete your browsing history on your iPad from Safari. This document also explains how to clear cookies and the web cache.

How to view browser history in Safari

  1. Open Safari
  2. Tap and hold the back (<) buttoniPad Safari back button

How to view your full browser history

  1. Launch Safari
  2. Tap the Bookmark iconsafari bookmarks ipad
  3. Then tap Bookmarks
  4. Select Historysafari history
  5. Here, you can see your history.

How to delete your browser history

There are two ways to do this.

Method 1

  1. Tap Bookmarks > History
  2. You can clear all history or some portions of it by selecting “The Last Hour”, “Today”, Today and Yesterday” or “All Time”clear history - iPad safari
  3. You can also delete a specific web site by swiping left.delete individual browsing history

Method 2

  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Safari
  • Tap Clear History and Website Datasafari history clear
  • A popup will appear. Confirm your selection.

Note that by clearing your browsing history, cookies, history and all other website data (your cache, temp files etc) will be cleared. If you are using iCloud, history will be cleared from all of your iCloud devices.
